About Jim Meyers Plumbing & Excavation
The Jim Meyers Plumbing company was started in 1979. I became a plumber when I left the army in 1968 as a apprentice plumber. I worked 12 years for Ryan and Lisk plumbing company. I started the business shortly after marring my wife Susan with borrowed money. The times were rough at first, but I worked long hours, 7 days a week. When money was tight, I mostly installed plumbing in new houses until 2008. Through the years, I added employees and additional plumbing services were offered.
We started a retail store and a showroom to help our customers select their fixtures for their projects. We have several working displays in our showroom, so customers can see exactly what they are getting.
We went into excavation work in 2008. We offer excavation, trenching, hauling, and most digging projects. We also recently added hydro jetting to our services.
My business has grown to 8 employees and 5 of those are family. The daughters handle sales, showroom, and service schedules. My wife, Susan, works with accounting and payroll. My son, Matt, is a master plumber, working with all plumbing services and excavation jobs. I have enjoyed being a plumber for over 48 years. I have a nice business with many longtime customers that, over the years, have become friends.
